If you’re looking for a place in to have a cup of coffee, maybe a sandwich or muffin, after the long night but can’t bring yourself to brave the energy (read: constant shouting) of your nearest Vida, try Sundance.
Over the weekend, Sundance is surrounded by parking so there’s nothing standing between you and your freshly brewed bone-dry low-fat cappuccino and any one of a number of pre-made sandwichs, muffins or yoghurts, or if you’re got a crazing for something sweet, they have a range of bite-sized treats to munch on.
Sundance has also recently opened in the Waterfront but EA is yet to sample its wares. I can only hope they’re retained the simple beauty of this one.

Over the last few months Tasca has put a real effort into upgrading their look. They’ve hired a spiffy new design company, refreshed their interiors and are looking good! Particularly if you remember the old look complete with a noisy fake chicken coop attached to the wall.
The new owners have definitely brought new life to the restaurant, as well as an array of flavours that combine both Turkish and Portuguese cuisine, tapas and meze. (And yes, we did read that in the menu). We can happily report that the food does live up to the party line and the service isn’t too bad either.
Unfortunately, this restaurant forgot one small thing; the locals. They focus almost exclusively on the tourists and the prices testify to this. Despite all it’s good qualities, unless you’re really craving Portuguese food or are raking in the Euro’s, I’d give this one a miss.
