As prices soar through the roof with the onset on the World Cup, thankfully, some restaurants are realising this might not be the best approach.

Five Flies is one of these restaurants. In fact, they are reducing some of their prices! A 2 course meal, which would have cost you R185, is now only R125 and a 3 course meal has come down from R235 to R150. That’s a pretty big drop. On top of this, they are also offering you a complimentary glass of Cape wine.

This offer is valid every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout April, May and June.

Posted on: April 8th, 2010 RLSole Sale at Sevruga

Thanks to the Caviar Group of Restaurants for this bit of info:

“April will see the launch of the first ever Sevruga Sale as the popular V&A Waterfront restaurant has managed to secure more than 3000 East Coast soles!

The East Coast sole is widely regarded as one of the best in the world; certainly as good as, if not better than, the famed Dover sole that one will find on some of the top restaurant menus in the UK. It is therefore no surprise that the chefs really let their imaginations fly when they designed a menu around this delight.

The sole dishes, which will only be available while stocks last, start at R89 and end at around R180. They include Sole and Baby Calamari (R89) Sole in a Citrus Beurre Blanc (R99), Sole and Tempura Kingklip Goujons (R109) and Sole and Prawns with a Crème Creole sauce (R149).”

These amazing Sole dishes form part of Sevruga’s new Autumn Menu, which can be viewed here.
