Catharina’s, the Restaurant at Steenberg, will once again dish up its legendary ‘Winter Warmers’ this year, providing diners with an opportunity for value-for-money, fireside fine dining during the chilly months.

Special starts on 5-May-2010, ends on 30-Sep-2010.

Based on Executive Chef Garth Almazan’s á la carte menu, Catharina’s Winter Warmers will offer a choice of a 2-course set menu lunch at R135, 3-course lunch at R175, and a 3-course dinner at R195.

Starters will include deliciously satisfying vegetable soups, and main courses such as the popular braised Karoo lamb shank with porcini mushroom risotto, fine beans, onion confit, fried parsley and lamb jus, ending on a decadent note with lemon and vanilla crème brulee, chocolate beignets and strawberry sorbet.

Catharina’s hearty Winter Warmers will also include a complementary glass of Klein Steenberg red or white wine.
